Overview

Yew Wah International Education Schools are built upon Yew Chung’s legacy of providing exceptional international education for over 90 years in Hong Kong SAR and the Chinese mainland; nurturing students with the skills and knowledge to face global issues and challenges of the 21st century. The unique curriculum established by Yew Chung and Yew Wah through much dedication and time has gained widespread recognition in the world. 

Professor Paul Yip Kwok-wah and Dr Betty Chan Po-king founded the Yew Wah series of schools with a passion for bringing international education to students in the Chinese mainland. Yew Wah International Education Centre was first set up in Shanghai in 1998, and the first Yew Wah International Education School (YWIES) was founded in Yantai in 2000. Yew Wah continues to expand its footprint in education services by establishing Yew Wah International Education Kindergartens, Yew Wah Infant and Toddler Discovery Centres and Yew Wah Infant and Toddler Education Centres in Chongqing, Shanghai and Qingdao. YWIES Beijing Yizhuang was set up in 2016 together with the launch of the B&P International Education Park project.

YWIES Guangzhou in Huadu district and YWIES Shanghai Lingang in Pudong were pened in 2014 and 2015 respectively. The new YWIES campus in Zhejiang Tongxiang opened in September 2017.
