Recently, the Business and Economics students from G9-12 visited Coca-Cola bottling partners Swire (CCBPS) Shanghai, a subsidiary of Swire Pacific Limited. The field explored the company's operations, focusing specifically on their flow production process and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. 

The students studied the rich history of the company through the timeline on the walls. Swire Coca-Cola is a leading bottler and distributor of The Coca-Cola Company's products in various territories, including the western United States, China, and parts of the Asia-Pacific region. The history of Swire Coca-Cola dates back to 1965 when Swire Pacific Limited entered into a partnership with The Coca-Cola Company. Since then, Swire Coca-Cola has grown to become one of the most prominent and successful Coca-Cola bottling partners globally.

Swire Coca-Cola places a strong emphasis on corporate social responsibility. They are committed to environmental sustainability, community engagement, and the well-being of their employees. Some of their CSR initiatives are environmental sustainability, community engagement and employee wellbeing. These are values we also share in our school, so it was wonderful to be able to share this with the students.

The students were also very interested in the company's environmental protection measures. It was well observed that as a practitioner of environmental protection, Swire Coca-Cola rarely produces plastic waste. The company has implemented sustainability measures within its production process, such as recycling water used in production, reducing energy consumption, and optimizing transportation to minimize environmental impact.

The students also had the opportunity to gain insights into their flow production process, the key of their operations. The company's flow production process is highly efficient and well-organized. 

Swire Coca-Cola employs state-of-the-art bottling and filling equipment. The production line is designed for maximum efficiency, with minimal downtime between product changes. The bottles and cans are thoroughly cleaned, filled with the beverage, and sealed. The packaged products are labelled, date-coded, and quality-checked before they proceed to the packaging stage. Swire Coca-Cola is committed to reducing plastic waste and has made efforts to use eco-friendly packaging materials. Once packaged, the products are efficiently routed for distribution. The company uses advanced logistics systems to optimize delivery routes, reducing transportation costs and carbon emissions. Quality control is a continuous process, and requires periodical inspections and sampling to ensure product quality and safety. Swire Coca-Cola maintains rigorous quality standards at every stage of production. 

Each study trip has a different meaning and understanding, we believe that through seeing more, we will have a more wide range of knowledge, and we hope that students can combine these unique company operation concepts with their own, whether in study or life, they can form their own set of methods.
