On February 21, we held a Subject Choices Fair for Grade 8 and 10 students and their parents. The event aimed to offer guidance on course selection, major choices, and career planning, while also addressing parents' questions to help them better plan their children's educational pathways.
During the event, our Co-Heads of Secondary, Ms Lily Yuan and Mr Parras Majithia led a parent briefing on Secondary academic planning. They offered guidance on IGCSE course selection for Grade 8 and discussed A Level choices and university planning for Grade 10. The session also covered timelines and key aspects of university application preparation.
After the briefing, students and parents met with teachers for one-on-one consultations to better understand course details. Teachers offered personalized planning advice based on each student's situation and future goals. Additionally, our CUGO team provided comprehensive support for academic planning, including subject selection, study abroad destinations, university major analysis, and application preparation.
After the event, parents remarked, "This activity and in-depth discussions with teachers gave us a clearer understanding of course selection."
In this era of opportunities and challenges, making informed educational choices is crucial for every family's future. When schools, families, and society work together, students can make thoughtful decisions and forge their own successful paths.
We believe that through such educational activities, students will better understand themselves, plan their futures, and confidently pursue international education.
